Paddle Canada tournament schedule


Paddle tournaments are a fun, affordable and great way to get exercise while soaking in the sun. All tournaments consist of doubles teams and can be mixed gender. Draws are separated by skill level for optimum competiveness and enjoyment. Tournament entrants will often receive a souvenir, meal and drinks, and prizes for winning.

PADDLE PROGRAM - 2008

Note:  Depending on participation level, programs may be subject to change.  Raquets available for new players.

Location: Unless otherwise noted, all programs take place at A.E.Cross Jr. High, Richmond Rd at 37th St SW.

Orientations/Drop-In Social

Day:                 Wednesdays, beginning May 7th

Time:                6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday Drop-In Socials

Day:                 Saturdays beginning May 10th

Time:                11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Day:                 Sundays beginning May 11th

Time:                2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Tournaments

June 20th – 22nd, Summer Solstice

August 23rd – 30th, WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Organized Competitive Play

On Tuesday and Thursday Nights there will be organized competitive play.  Players who are of Open and Level A ability will be contacted for Thursday Night.  Players who are of Level B or lower will be contacted for Tuesday Night.  To participate there will be a $10 charge for the whole season.  This will help cover some minor expenses including balls.

Play will commence the week of May 5th.


Lessons And Clinics

Professional:  Steve Shannon

Private:             $35.00/hour

                                    $125.00 for 4 one hour lessons

Semi Private:                $20.00 each/hour

                                    $70.00 each for 4 one hour lessons

Group:                          $40.00 each for two 1.5 hour lessons

                                    Minimum 3, Maximum 4

Youth Program

The Paddle Canada Youth Program is designed to accommodate children of all ages and playing ability.  Children can be introduced to the sport of Paddle as early as age six.  As well the program is designed to accommodate those juniors who have achieved a greater skill and competitive level.  It is important for Paddle Canada to promote its sport to our youth and  identify juniors who could be national team prospects.

   Munchkins:

Ages:                6 – 10

            Day:                 Fridays beginning June 6th

Time:                4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Cost:                 $12.00/mo.

Class Size:        Minimum 5, Maximum 16

   Hopefuls:

Ages:                11 – 18

            Day:                 Thursdays, beginning June 5th

            Time:                4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Cost:                 $20.00/mo.

Class Size:        Minimum 5, Maximum 10

   High Performance:

Summer camps:
