Thank to all of the volunteers on the organizing committee, past Team Canada members and present Paddle Canada members who worked so hard to put on an excellent season opener event. It was a pleasure to see the courts full of people of all ages and skill levels on the court enjoying our great sport and having so much fun.

The weekend was a great success as we introduced many new people to the sport as well as having most of them becoming new members of our association. One of the focal themes of our event was to draw attention to our continued quest to find a location to build our year round facility, something which we have tried to do in the City of Calgary for many years. We generated several good possibilities which we are following up on, so wish us luck.

On behalf of the Board of Directors we want to thank all of you who volunteered your time to organize and help out all weekend long, to all of you that came out to play and invited your friends and family to come out and to all of our sponsors who donated their products or services to make this such a great success… to those of you that were out of town or had previous commitments and could not join us, or to those that were in town but did not take the time to come out… you missed a great party and hopefully next year we can have you out.
